TTS

What TTS Is
TTS is a rare but serious disease that may cause death. There is a risk of TTS to all women using tampons during their menstrual period. Scientific studies have concluded that tampons contribute to the cause of TTS.

Warning signs of TTS
are sudden fever (usually 102 degrees F or more), vomiting, diarrhea, fainting when standing up, dizziness, or a rash that looks like a sunburn.

Whose At Risk
Reported risks are higher to women under the age of 30 and teenage girls.

The Facts
-Incidence of TTS is estimated to be between 1 and 17 cases of TTS per 100,000 menstruating women and girls per year.
-Higher absorbency tampons increase risk of TTS.

Reduce The Risk Of TTS
During your period, alternate between pads, and tampons. Or don't use tampons. (groossss)

Absorbency Ranges
-Light Absorbency (less than 6 grams)
-Regular Absorbency (6-9 grams)
-Super Absorbency (9-12 grams)
-Super Plus Absorbency (12-15 grams)
-Ultra Absorbency (15-18 grams)

if you have/had warning signs of TTS in the past (or present), check with your doctor before using tampons again.
